Spices
1 tsp Herbs de Provence
Ingredients
200-250g of Pork Shoulder Steak
60g of Rice
1/2 red Bell Pepper
2 white Mushrooms (e.g: Champignon de Paris)
Instructions
Step 1
Combine the herbs de Provence (1tsp), cumin powder, chili powder, black pepper and salt (1/2tsp each) in a bowl. Season the pork steak on both sides and leave it for 15-20min.
Step 2
Slice your bell pepper (1/2) and mushrooms (2).
Step 3
Drizzle the pork steak with oil and grill them on a pan at medium-hot fire, about 4 minutes per side. Then reduce the heat to medium-low and cook each side for another 4 minutes.
In the meantime, cook your rice in a pot with boiling water.
Cook the bell pepper in a pan with oil at medium-low fire for 8 minutes. Add the mushrooms in the pan and leave them for another 8 minutes. Steer from time to time.
Tip: If you only have a 2 burner stoves, prepare your rice beforehand.
Step 4
Take out your pork shoulder steak and put your rice, beller pepper and mushrooms in the pan where the steak was cooked. On top of mixing the ingredients together, this will also give some meat flavor to your rice. After a minute or two, serve the dish and enjoy.
